A Note from

Cory Toscano

Hello! I’m so grateful you’ve landed on my page — welcome to a little corner of faith, family, and wonder.

Cory Toscano is a faith-based children’s author, mom of two, and storyteller passionate about helping children grow in courage through God’s truth. Her debut book, The Night God Made Me Brave, was created to help families navigate bedtime fears with faith, comfort, and meaningful conversations about God’s presence. Cory’s mission is to create stories and resources that help parents lead their children toward peace, bravery, and a lasting relationship with God.

It all began in my own childhood, shadowed by fears that made the world feel big and uncertain. I longed for stories that made God’s promises feel real and close. That gentle longing grew into a heartfelt calling… fast forward to being a mom, searching for comforting, Scripture-centered books to help my own kids face their fears — and I knew I was meant to create them.

My hope is that these tender tales bring the same peaceful, God-centered moments (bedtimes and beyond!) we’ve come to cherish in our home.

I’d love for you to join our family of readers. Sign up for my “Faith Whispers” newsletter — free printables, simple prayers, and sneak peeks at new stories coming soon.

Let’s raise brave little believers together.
With love, Cory ❤️

🌸 Faith Tips for Moms 🌸

A gentle space created to support moms as they nurture faith, courage, and comfort in everyday moments.

Lunchbox Notes: Small Words, Big Faith

Even the smallest notes can leave a lasting imprint on a child’s heart. Lunchbox notes are a simple way to remind your child that they are loved, prayed for, and never alone — even during the busiest parts of the day. A short verse, a loving reminder, or a whispered prayer written on paper can carry faith from home to school and back again.

Simple Prayer Routines for Busy Days

Prayer doesn’t have to be long or complicated to be meaningful. Simple routines — morning blessings, short prayers before school, or bedtime whispers — help children understand that God is part of everyday life. These gentle prayer moments build consistency, comfort, and connection, even on the busiest days. (Practical prayer routines will be added here soon.)

Teaching God’s Word from Day One

Introducing God’s Word early helps children grow up knowing they are deeply loved and guided. Through stories, repetition, and gentle conversations, faith becomes familiar rather than intimidating. Teaching faith at a young age doesn’t require perfection — just presence, patience, and love. (Faith-building ideas and resources coming soon.)

Nightly Affirmations & Bedtime Blessings

The moments before sleep are often when fears feel biggest. Nightly affirmations help children end their day feeling safe, brave, and reassured by God’s promises. Speaking gentle truths and blessings over your child each night creates peace, confidence, and a sense of security that carries into tomorrow. (Bedtime affirmations and printable blessings coming soon.)

TESTIMONIALS

I absolutely love this book and cannot say enough positive things about it. I love what this author  has created and so happy to see more faith-based books like this becoming accessible and engaging for children.

What I especially appreciated was how naturally the book opened the door for conversation while reading. My son and I found ourselves stopping throughout the story to talk, ask questions, and connect with the message together. That, to me, is what makes a children’s book truly special.

I also loved the thoughtful touches at the end, including the Our Father prayer and the explanation of how to make the Sign of the Cross. It adds another meaningful layer and makes the book not only enjoyable, but educational and faith-filled as well.

This is such a wonderful resource for families, and I highly recommend it to parents looking for books that encourage connection, conversation, and faith with their children.

I can’t wait to see more books from this author!

Highly recommend this faith based book for little ones who are afraid of the dark

Highly recommend this book for children who are afraid of the dark. It is a wonderful way to introduce faith and nighttime prayers, making it an excellent read before bed. Additionally, there is a dedicated space at the back of the book where children can write their own “brave prayer”.

This book was perfect for teaching my neurodivergent 6 year old about fears and the presence of god. It’s become our nighttime ritual to read this story before bed!
